Biography

 

Elvin Hoxa Ganiyev, who started his graduate degree studies at the Hochschule fur Musik Theater und Medien, Hannover with Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn in October 2019 is a violin virtuoso who has started his music career at the very early ages.

He graduated from the class of Prof.Zakhar Bron at the Superior de Musica Reina Sofia, Spain.

Being born into a family of musicians in 1997, Ganiyev started his violin lessons at the age of five. He gave his first concert with orchestra at the age of eight with his grandfather Server Ganiyev and he was accepted into Zurich Conservatory in the same year. He gave his first concert at the age of ten together with Moscow Virtuosos conducted by Viladimir Spivakov at the Kremlin Palace. He worked with important conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sasha Goetzel, Gürler Aykal, Rauf Abdullayev, Placido Domingo, Jules van Hessen and David Bernard.

He performed with stars of the music world such as Ivri Gitlis, Vadim Repin, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Maxim Vengerov, Cihat Askin, Fazil Say, Viktor Pikayzen in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philarmonic Hall, the Kremlin Palace, Tzchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Opera Garnier Monte-Carlo, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Athena Megaro Hall, Zurich Tonhalle, Royal Albert Hall, London and St. John’s Smith Square.

He performed with Moscow Virtuosos, Shanghai Chamber Orchestra, Amsterdam Philarmonic, Borusan Istanbul Philarmonic, Azerbaijan Philarmonic, Qatar Philarmonic, Odessa Philarmonic, New Russian Orchestra, BMTG NY Chamber Orchestra, Bilkent Symphonic Orchestra, Tzchkaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Bron Chamber Orchestra, Bourgogne Lyric Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra,Istanbul State Symphony, Bursa State Symphony, Antalya State Symphony, Eskisehir Municipality Symphony, Izmir State Symphony, Albania RTSH, and has won many awards and honorary prizes.

David Oistrakh Violin Competition, Lipinski-Wieniawski Young Musicians Competition, Berlin International Music Competition Gold Medal and Vienna International Music Competition are to name a few of them. Ganiyev performed at the Switzerland Interlaken Classics Festival, Menton Festival in France, Cannes Music Festival, Voices for Peace and Festival du Floreal Musical d’Epinal, Rostropovich Festival in Azerbaijan, Gabala Music Festival, Vladimir Spivakov Invites Festival in Russia, Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Istanbul Music Festival, Ankara Music Festival, Oettingen Festival in Germany, Megaro Festival in Greece. He recorded with the LGT Young Soloists for the Italian Journey album under the RCA Red Seal/Sony Music Switzerland label.

He is currently continuing his Masters degree program at the Essen Folkwang Universitat der Kunste Konzertexamen with Prof.Aleksey Semenenko and at the Berlin Universitat der Kunste with Prof. Mark Gothoni, with support of CEV Sanat. He wishes to record Complete Ysaye sonatas and film musics album during 2022-2023, and he is also preparing for the international competitions.

 

Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev plays a Eugene Sartory archel, 1715 Giuseppe Guarneri “filius Andreae “ violin in his concerts.
